Having carpet throughout your home is almost nearly impossible to keep clean and stain free. Coffee, juice, ink and yes, even wine stains will vanish in no time at all. Here I have 5 simple and quick tips that will remove those embarrassing carpet stains. Bonus part is that most of these carpet friendly stain removers can be found in your home.

Shaving Cream

Kids and juice together means spills, and those spills will normally happen on any surface, including the carpet. Be sure to soak up all the juice with a clean towel by blotting. Never rub the carpet; this will only make matters worse. Next apply a small amount of shaving cream to the area and then with another clean towel wipe away.

Baby Wipes

Who doesn’t like baby wipes? They are super handy not just to tiny fingers and faces, but stains as well. Baby wipes will soak up coffee and the spot it left behind. Just gentle dap the stain with a wipe and watch it vanish!

Ammonia

2 liters of warm water and I cup of ammonia will cause that carpet stain to lift right up and disappear. The great thing about this little trick is that you can repeat it over and over again. Just gently dap the spot with a clean sponge with your solution and the stain will lift right up.

Cornstarch

This helpful quick tip works wonders on ink stains. Take a little bit of cornstarch and mix it with milk until it has turned into a paste. Once you have your paste apply it to the area and let it dry. Once dry, vacuum over it and just like that it’s gone!

Vinegar

Vinegar is some pretty powerful stuff. Not only will it clean and disinfect any area in your home, but it’s also great on carpet stains. Take ½ cup of white vinegar and just 2 tablespoons of salt, mix together and then apply where needed. After the spot has dried vacuum over it and just like magic, it’s disappeared.

So there you have it. A few quick and easy tricks to removing carpet stains without losing your sanity. We all have a spot that one stain that drives us crazy and after scrubbing, dabbing, blotting, it’s still there. Not anymore! Just try one of these tips and that spot will be gone in no time.
